These koala paintings were inspired by my own journey living with vision loss and chronic illness. As someone whose experience of the world is often shaped by feeling rather than seeing, I am drawn to subjects that embody quiet strength and presence.

The sleeping koala represents rest, trust, and surrender. The waking koala represents awareness, resilience, and connection. Together they tell a story of balance between vulnerability and endurance, softness and survival.

Through native flora, muted tones, and gentle expression, I wanted these pieces to evoke a sense of calm while honouring the strength required to navigate an unpredictable world. They are a reflection of my belief that beauty is not found in perfection, but in persistence.
